Shortcuts

The complete list. A short version lives in the application, under Settings → Shortcuts.

Document

ShortcutAction
Ctrl + SSave. Asks for a name the first time
Ctrl + ZUndo
Ctrl + WUndo — the AZERTY-friendly alternative
Ctrl + YRedo

Undo is a single history covering map edits and hierarchy edits alike. It reverses the last thing you did, whichever panel you did it in.

These stay silent inside a text field

Ctrl+Z in a territory-name field is the reflex for "undo my typo". It must not throw away sculpting work instead.

The map

InputAction
ScrollZoom, centred on the pointer. Range 10 % – 5000 %
Middle-dragPan
Left-click / dragPaint, or select — depends on the active tool
Right-clickPick, or stop painting

The brush

These work anywhere, without moving the pointer off the canvas:

ShortcutAdjustsRange
Ctrl + scrollBrush sizeRadius 1.5 – 500
Alt + scrollFalloff — scroll up for a softer edge0 – 10
Ctrl + Alt + scrollRotation, 5° per step0 – 360°

Holding Ctrl or Alt suppresses zoom, so a brush adjustment never moves the camera.

Views

InputAction
Click a view buttonSwitches the map to that view
Ctrl + click a view buttonPins that view as a translucent layer
Ctrl + click the pinned viewRemoves the layer

Keyboard navigation

The application is fully operable without a mouse.

ShortcutAction
TabNext control
Shift + TabPrevious control
Space or EnterActivate the control — button, switch, open or close a group
← →Move the selection within a segmented picker
EscapeClose a sheet, or release focus

Focus follows the order controls are drawn in, which is the order they appear on screen. The focused control is drawn with a ring around it.

Escape never quits the application.

Inside a text field

ShortcutAction
Ctrl + ASelect all
Ctrl + C / X / VCopy / cut / paste
Shift + arrowsExtend the selection
Home / EndStart / end of the field
EnterCommit and release focus
EscapeRelease focus
Double-clickSelect a word
Triple-clickSelect the line

A field owns the keyboard while it is being edited: typing an s into a name does not trigger Save.

Interface size

ShortcutAction
Ctrl + +Increase by 25 %
Ctrl + -Decrease by 25 %
Ctrl + 0Match the display's own scaling

They clamp at 75 % and 300 %. The numpad keys work too.

Utility

ShortcutAction
